Zookeeper jumps into crocodile enclosure to rescue toddler in Cambridgeshire

A zookeeper at Johnson's of Old Hurst near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire jumped into a crocodile enclosure to rescue a three-year-old boy. The incident occurred during lunch on June 18, according to reports from The Mirror and the Daily Mail.

According to The Mirror, the child was allegedly tossed into the crocodile pen by an unidentified individual before staff member Tracey Johnson entered the pit. Reports state that Johnson leaped approximately 15 feet into the enclosure to reach the toddler. Both news outlets confirmed the location of the facility as Johnson's of Old Hurst.

Following the rescue, The Mirror reported that Johnson received significant praise from witnesses for her actions during the incident. The Daily Mail also noted that she had recently become a grandmother. Both publications focused on the intervention after reports emerged that the child was thrown into the enclosure by a stranger.
