Rescue operations continue in Venezuela as emergency teams search for individuals trapped under the rubble of collapsed structures following two earthquakes. According to NPR, these twin seismic events have resulted in more than 1,400 fatalities and have left tens of thousands of people unaccounted for.
The search effort has progressed into its third and fourth days as responders work through the debris of destroyed homes and apartment buildings.
