Seven fatalities and dozens of injuries reported after collapse at Maharashtra temple site

Seven people were killed and at least 30 others sustained injuries following the collapse of a roof at an assembly hall under construction in Maharashtra’s Parbhani district. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon at the Hanuman Temple site located in Yashwadi village.
The structure, which was being developed as a 'sabha mandap', collapsed while numerous devotees were gathered at the location. News18 reported that several people were initially feared trapped beneath the debris of the assembly hall during the collapse.
Emergency services began rescue operations immediately after the incident took place on Manwat road. Reports from the Times of India indicate that initial estimates placed between 30 and 40 individuals as being caught in the rubble. At the time of reporting, approximately 25 people had been pulled from the debris by emergency teams.
The temple is situated along a main route, and the construction site was active at the time of the collapse. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the causes of the structural failure or the status of those still missing.
